Peformer InfoOur performers are such an important, integral part of our festival. Those who have performed at our festival enjoy the special atmosphere: our supportive volunteers, excellent communication, cooperation, and the good vibes that swirl through the Festival all weekend. And we, in turn, enjoy our performers! Our performers share in the Festival's vision, to excite the senses and inspire imagination. Who We AreSpoutwood Farm, owned by Rob and Lucy Wood, is an orgainc farm in the Community supported Agriculture movement. Each spring the May Day Fairie Festival is held at the farm. Thein, in the fall, the farm sponsors the Mother Earth Harvest Fair. The May Day Fairie Festival celebrates the beginning of spring and the return of nature spirits to the warm world. the festival sponsors over 70 arts and crafts vendors, numerous food vendors, performances by a variety of musicians and dancers, maypole dancing, tea parties, craft making, as well as fairie and nature spirit environments to explore and educational workshops to attend. The goal of the Mother Earth Harvest Fair is to celebrate healthy, sustainable and blanced living in the Chesepeake bio-region. Fairgoers have the opportunity to attend a variety of workshops, see demonstrations, and purchase foods and crafts, with the goal of being able to gain a better understanding and appreciation of Mother Earth's bounty. LocationSpoutwood Farm, Glen Rock PA. Directions to the Farm will be sent with the acceptance package. Only performers, vendors, and volunteers may park on the Festival grounds. Upon acceptance, you will receive parking permits for yourself and one other vehicle. FeesYou will receive payment for your performance within two weeks after the end of the festival. Your agreed fee amount will be specified in the contract, please make sure this amount is correct before returning the contract. Date & HoursMay 3,4, and5 SetupYou will be required to be at the festival and ready to setup one hour before your performance time. We cannot guarantee your performance time if you are late. Tardy performers will be fed to the trolls! Sales TaxIf you are selling CDs or other performance related merchandise, you are responsible for reporting and paying your own sales tax. Our promoter number is 10007833. LiabilityPerformers are responsible for their own equipment. Spoutwood Farm assumes no liability. This is VERY important! If you have applied online we will use your provided email address exclusively for contacting you unless you tell us otherwise! Your email address is automatically added to our database when you apply; therefore any mistakes in your email address are yours! If you change your email address anytime during the application process, LET US KNOW. This is your responsibility. We cannot stress the importance of this enough. If you've applied with your email address and haven't received a confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us. Entry DeadlineApplication and supporting photos etc. must be received by January 1, 2013. NO EXCEPTIONS Jury ProcedureAll new applicants, or returning performers planning to perform something new, must submit samples of their performances within one week of submitting an online or paper application. Samples can be CDs and/or videos. Print your name and identifying information on the media. Please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return of your media if preferred. Alternately you can provide us with the address of where we can see your performance on the Web. Submissions must accurately represent your work.
