CSA Harvest Guide : August 2

        Rain, rain, go away! But seriously...things sure are wet! We're not complaining too much, though, and we're definitely enjoying the break in temperatures. We also would like to put out a final reminder about the next and last of this year's work days.

Saturday, August 4th, is our last work day from 8AM-4PM. Come any time for any amount of help.

        So far, we have a few folks coming in the morning to help out with our big jobs, but we're counting on having many more helpers. There are a couple of zones to weed, but we also have veggies to harvest...come be a part of the making of your next harvest bag!

While we've been hard at work with harvesting, weeding, and bed prepping, these little beauties have also been working tirelessly in the fields and around our flowers collecting and sharing pollen.

What's in your bag?

        This week expect to find most of these items: Cucumber, Zucchini & Summer Squash, Cherry Tomato, Green Onion, Green Bell Pepper, Onion, Swiss Chard, and Winter Savory as an herb.

        The winter savory is finally ready to harvest, and prepare yourselves for the first peppers and onions of the season! There is a chance a few of you will be receiving a hot southwestern variety of pepper known as Anaheim, so if it doesn't look like a Bell, beware of its spice!
