CSA Harvest Guide : August 25

I would like to put a disclaimer out there: our jalapenos are hot! This may not be a story Brett or Emily would like me to share, but we learned that the hard way. As we were picking these spicy treats, I bit the end off one and passed the remainder of the jalapeno to my co-workers. They both took a bite. Our mouths were on fire! Emily ate a tomato like an apple, and I gobbled up some cherries to combat the heat. Brett finished his water. Despite regretting taking such a big mouthful the three of us are quite proud of these small green peppers. Just be careful. They pack quite a punch for such a small thing.

Along with the jalapenos you should receive two other varieties of peppers: bell and paprika. Other than that, your bag should contain: kale or collards, tomatoes, zucchini, summer squash, eggplant, green beans, and parsley.
