Spoutwood Farm CSA Harvest Guide: Week 4, 2004
Sorry Folks, the computer is down. This will be an abridged harvest guide. Hopefully the computer will have recovered for next week.
After a false alarm last week, handbooks are available this week.
Kittens: We still have 5 adorable felines ready for adoption. Please call 717-235-6610 or 235-9272.
Refrigerator: Still looking for a used refrigerator.
Mustard Greens
Red or Green Cabbage
Arugula- an excellent nutty and bitey flavorful salad addition.
Peas
Chard
Kale
Broccoli
Endive- A frilly lettuce cousin- good in salads with other greens to cushion the slightly bitter taste. Well worth it for nutritional value.
Herb - Mint- a kind of spearmint- excellent for tea.
Flowers - Red Beebalm, Snowball hydrangea, and fern leaf.
